Our Story

Chuck and Renee met in January 1980 while students at Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho.  For Chuck, it was love at first site. He recalls that it took him two weeks to get up the nerve to ask Renee to marry him.

They were married in El Paso, Texas on June 7th of that year.

Married for 29 years, they have three grown sons (Don, Matt & Mike), a daughter-in-law (Tisha), and the ‘joy of their life’ – Zoe (grandaughter – see photo below).

They have always made their marriage a top priority and this is evident to everyone who meets them.

"We are best friends, lovers, companions, and confidants," says Chuck.

They currently live in Kansas with their cat, Mona Lisa and their youngest son, Michael.

"Like most couples, we have experienced many tragic and challenging events in our life together, yet we have always had each other to rely on.  Despite sicknesses, financial pressures, many moves, challenges with our children, and the pressures of living in a third world area for several years, our marriage has not only survived, but grown stronger and more vital," Renee says.

"One of our most important goals is helping those around us – truly everyone we meet – to strengthen their marriage.  We believe that even the best marriages can grow by utilizing the variety of marriage enrichment resources and concepts that are available today," stated Chuck.

Zoe is Chuck & Renee's first grandchild.

Chuck and Renee work closely together as a team to create marriage enrichment resources (blogs, books, podcasts, and video training materials), lead marriage enrichment events (seminars, workshops, retreats and camps), and provide both private and small group counselling for couples who are seeking to enhance their relationships.
